Gaucho Farms Internship
We are looking for a fantastic intern (or married couple) to help grow Gaucho Farms!  This is a great opportunity for an individual or couple to learn how to grow and harvest clean healthy meats and produce on the job.  One big part of the job is to process (or closely supervise the processing) of our pastured broiler chickens
(we can provide training).

Other aspects of the job will entail managing our Katahdin sheep (vaccination, hoof trimming, lambing, feeding, tagging), managing and expanding our flock of laying hens, sorting and hauling lambs and steers in for processing, vegetable gardening, pasture management, value-added product development, grounds maintenance (mowing, weedeating, weeding) and other tasks.  We are calling this job an internship, but it could turn into long-term employment.

SKILLS
We hire for aptitude and a willing attitude more than experience, but some skills that are a must are: a clean driving record, ability to drive a truck and small stock trailer, ability to handle a small tractor, tiller, and mowing equipment, and livestock handling skills.  Helpful skills include poultry processing, gardening, mechanical ability and carpentry skills.  The job is physically demanding, so physical fitness is a must.  We are a drug, alcohol, and smoke-free workplace.

COMPENSATION
Housing and Utilities:  Nice, furnished, 1 bedroom apartment with full bath, A/C, cable television, and satellite internet access.
Food and Stipend:  $500/month and $25/week in Gaucho Farms produce and meat.

HOW TO APPLY
Review our website and Facebook page, read the job description carefully, then send a cover letter and resume with three personal and/or professional references to info@gauchofarms.com.  Please, no phone calls.
